M.C. Overalls navy dungarees

Classic blue navy workwear dungarees built to last. Designed with both style and fuction in mind, the adjustable shoulder straps connect with loophole buttons for easy opening, and front and back pockets ensure there's ample room for essentials.

Inspired by the workwear worn by factory employees during the Second World War homefront, these dungarees have been designed and made by MC Overalls, a company with a history of producing army and civilian hard-wearing clothing in both the First and Second World Wars.

During the Second World War male dominated industries found their workforces depleted, and by the end of 1941, Britain began conscripting women. They found themselves developing skills and earning their own wages, giving them a newfound independence.

Gender inequality was still prevalent, women were not allowed to fight on the front line in Britain and still had to support the household duties whilst in work, but it was evident that this was the start of something more for women and their important position in society.
