SR-71 Blackbird steel model kit

This highly detailed model pays tribute to the legendary aircraft that redefined reconnaissance during its operational years between 1964 and 1998.

Developed by Lockheed and its Skunk Works® division, the Blackbird model was the first aircraft to be constructed primarily of titanium, enabling it to reach a top speed of Mach 3.5+ at an altitude of 80,000 feet. At full velocity, the airplane surface heated up to over 260°C+ (500°F). Despite flying a total of 3,551 missions, not one Blackbird was lost due to enemy military retaliation.

Crafted from high-quality metal, this Blackbird model kit comes with everything you need to assemble your own piece of Cold War history, including detailed instructions and a pair of needle-nose pliers. So why wait? Order your Blackbird model today and add a touch of aviation history to your collection of Cold War Gifts.
