The wartime wardrobe's defining feature was often its economy and utility. Rationing in 1941 meant there were a limited amount of new clothes available to buy. Despite this, fashionable trends still developed on the homefront and many staples of the day are still icons of design even now.

In this collection of clothing ranges, you'll find everything from genuine wartime replicas such as our Irvin flying jackets and accessories crafted from original Spitfire  to 1940s inspired clothing including pilot watches, sturdy bags and holdalls and scarves featuring designs of the day.

There's also our souvenir ranges such as museum t-shirts, socks, and accessorise that utilise designs and blueprints from our collections in order to present conflict since the First World War to new and contemporary visitors.
