The first RAF aircraft to fly over 300mph, the Hawker Hurricane would become a wartime legend through its vital role in the British and Allied war effort. Famed for its durability and reliance the Hurricane became an indispensable tool of the RAF. During the Battle of Britain, almost two thousand of these fighters took to the air to guard the skies of England and accounted for almost sixty percent of air victories.
