Brass Half Gill Rum Cup
The gill is a unit of measurement that is equal to a quarter of a pint. The half gill was the standard daily ration amount of rum given to each sailor in the British Royal Navy.
This reproduction is made from hand beaten brass with the traditional British loop handle, copper plated, polished then lined with silver to neutralise taste. HMS is stamped across the bottom of the cup.
5.5cm high and 5cm in diameter across the top.
