Tiger Embroidered Patch

This richly embroidered crouching tiger patch features bold orange and black detailing, capturing the striking essence of Chila Kumari Singh Burman’s artwork.

Inspired by the large-scale ‘neon’ tiger sculpture displayed on the Quayside at IWM North, this patch reflects Burman’s signature blend of Indian cultural symbolism and personal history. The tiger represents strength and survival, while also nodding towards Burman’s family history—her father’s ice cream van was famously adorned with a tiger!

With an easy iron-on backing, the patch can be applied quickly. Alternatively, if your fabric is not suitable for ironing, it can be securely attached with a few simple hand stitches.
