Delivery

EU customers are now required to pay any import duties and taxes.  These will be payable when the goods reach your parcel’s destination country.

Delivery charges are based on the dimensions of the item (s) selected, the value of your order and your delivery address.  Current postage charges are summarised below.

• Prices are based on a multiple courier system, IWM will determine the courier or postal service used.
• Europe is 27 European Union countries, non EU member European countries are included in Rest of the World

•    UK: Expect to receive your goods within 2 – 3 working days of the date of placing your order.  

•    Europe and the rest of the world: Expect to receive your goods within 10 – 14 working days of the date of placing your order. 

If you are ordering goods for delivery overseas you will need to pay any import duties and taxes. Such taxes will be payable when the goods reach your parcel’s destination country. The liability for payment of such customs duties rest solely with you or the recipient and the Imperial War Museum has no control over liability for them.

Next Day Delivery

Place your order from Monday to Friday before 2pm and select the next day delivery option to receive your order on the next working day. Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday, over the weekend, or on UK Public Holidays will be delivered on the second working day. Working days are defined as Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and UK Public Holidays.

UK Mainland only (England, Wales and Scotland, excluding Highlands and Islands and the following postcodes: GY, HS, IM, JE, KW15-17, PA49, PA60-PA75, PA78, PH30, PH41-PH44, ZE2-ZE3).

Alcohol products are also excluded from Next Day Delivery.

If the Next Day service is selected and your order includes one of these excluded regions or products, we will send on a priority next day service but it can't be guaranteed to arrive on the next working day.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

IWM will continue to send parcels to affected areas. However, attempts to limit the spread of the coronavirus by our couriers could unfortunately result in delivery delays for some of our services to these locations.

Alcohol
Only available for UK delivery, excluding Northern Ireland. 

You must be aged 18 or older to buy alcohol. By placing an order with us online you are confirming you are aged 18 or older. Under the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, and may be subject to a fine on conviction.

Deliveries must be signed for by a person aged 18 or older. If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID, such as a driving licence or passport. Our couriers may apply a "Challenge 25 Policy" and so proof of age will be requested if the person receiving the products looks under 25 years old. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.

Food

We are not currently able to send food items to the EU. If you are ordering food for delivery to a destination within the EU, we will remove it from your order and refund you for the value of the disallowed item(s).

• EU is 27 European Union countries, non-EU member European countries are included in the Rest of the World delivery charge and can still order food items from us.
