The Lockheed SR-71, unofficially known as the Blackbird, was an amazing aircraft designed for long range strategic reconnaissance, and capable of speeds in excess of Mach 3. One of the SR-71's most distinguished pilots was Richard Graham, a Vietnam veteran with over 200 missions to his name. He flew the blackbird for 15 years and has written several books on the aircraft.
The SR-71 at IWM Duxford is the only one of its kind on display outside of the United States.
