The Hawk has been one of the truly outstanding successes of the British aerospace industry in the past three decades with the first flight on April 21, 1974. The RAF utilises it as a trainer/tactical aircraft, whilst various formats of the Hawk have been exported to more than 14 countries as a dedicated attack aircraft.
