Blackbird print
Developed by the United States Air Force, the Lockheed SR-71 ‘Blackbird’ is a long-range, Mach 3+ strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
It was designed with basic stealth characteristics and therefore served as a precursor to future stealth aircraft. Its first recorded flight took place on the 22nd December 1964 and it was retired in 1988. The SR-71 was, and still is, the world’s fastest and highest-flying operational manned aircraft; during its career it broke the altitude and speed records of its day. The SR-71A is the main variant of the aircraft.
A3 sized print.
