Ceramic Spitfire Decoration

Ceramic hanging decoration featuring an iteration of the Spitfire Blueprint design and 'Imperial War Museums' painted on the reverse.

Designed by IWM

The decoration takes this inspiration by focusing on the hand crafted style of a wartime Christmas and the importance of sustainability blended with IWM's notable connection to the Spitfire.

The first squadron to use Spitfires was 19 Squadron, based at RAF Duxford on 4 August 1938. The Spitfire was built in many variants and was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft and was the only British fighter to be in continuous production throughout the war.

Handmade and painted.

Handmade from 99% glazed (non-toxic) earthenware and 1% satin ribbon.

Fragile, handle with care.
