Taking inspiration from Burman’s ‘neon’ lotus sculpture on the Quayside at IWM North, the design reflects the sacred symbolism of the lotus flower in Hinduism. The artwork also touches on themes of Indian independence, Partition, and the histories of Indian migration to the UK, blending cultural heritage with personal reflection.
