Suffragettes Button Badges Set Of 4 (First World War)
Set of 4 button badges with a variety of Votes for Women designs, the images of which come from pieces of ephemera relating to the Suffragette movement.
The Suffragette organisation, the Women's Social and Political Union was founded by Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters in 1903. Until the outbreak of war in 1914 the WSPU campaigned to 'wake up the nation' to the cause of women's suffrage to win 'votes for women'.
