Christmas Gingerbread Candle

Six years of war brought many changes to traditional festive rituals. Christmas celebrations during the Second World War often had to be scaled down or adjusted as restrictions and shortages took their toll. For gingerbread, this meant recipes were adjusted to accomodat food/ingredient restrictions and availability.

Inspired by simple rationing aesthetics and ethos from the Second World War, with sustainable products and nostalgic scents.
